A festival Bosnia doesn't otherwise have

You don't watch. You take part.

Forget dusty car parks and a crowd pressed against a stage. Pecka Outdoor Festival is a festival of active time in nature — the only one of its size in the country. You climb, ride, swim through a canyon, learn to identify mushrooms, watch the stars through a telescope, and sit by the fire under an open sky at night.

Every activity is led by expert guides from regional clubs — mountaineers, climbers, ornithologists — with gear provided. Which is why it is open to complete beginners.

It began with a simple idea: bring a village back to life, and make nature the stage.

It now gathers hundreds of families and visitors from across the region every summer — remembered for the energy that brings people back.

How it started

From an idea about a village to a seventh edition

From a small idea about reviving a village, it grew into one of the region's most inspiring outdoor events.

  1. The start

    An idea: revive the village

Show that nature can be the stage — and that a village can be a reason to travel.

  2. Pause

    The pandemic

The festival stops, like everything else.

  3. Return

    Back, stronger

The programme grows, the crowd returns, and word travels beyond the region.

  4. 2025

Three days for the first time

The edition called “Together to the stars” — the first to run a full weekend.

  5. 2026

    7th edition, “by Tropic”

Its richest programme yet, with activities spreading to the neighbouring villages — Ribnik, Šipovo, Glamoč.
