Events in Pecka
For a small village in the mountains of western Bosnia and Herzegovina, Pecka has a surprisingly busy calendar. The best known event is the Pecka Outdoor Festival, but there is also our Mushroom School, along with workshops, camps, work days and plenty of smaller gatherings run by the Greenways Association on its own or with partners.
Some events are open to everyone and you can simply turn up. Some need registration because places are limited, and some are organised for specific groups, schools or partners. Each event says which applies, and if you are not sure, get in touch.

A place where people come together
The Pecka Visitor Centre is housed in the old village school, built in 1931, about 80 km southwest of Banja Luka and six kilometres from the springs of the Sana River. There is room to sleep, eat and work, and all around it are limestone crags, trails, forests and river springs. That is why climbers and mushroom hunters, students and company teams, and neighbours dropping by for coffee all end up here. Most of our events start the same way: someone visits once, then comes back with an idea and their own people.
